Otis Crane –  Defensive Line

Otis Crane was named defensive line coach for the Bruins by Bartlesville head football coach Jason Sport in June of 2020. He comes to Bartlesville after spending the previous three seasons as the defensive coordinator at Dewey High School.

In Dewey, Crane inherited a young defensive group that continually developed throughout his stint with the Bulldoggers. Playing in the toughest 2A district in Oklahoma, the Bulldoggers finished 3rd behind defending state champion Sperry and defending state runners-up Beggs. Dewey’s 3rd place marked the Bulldoggers best season in more than a decade.

Prior to his tenure at Dewey, Crane had stops at Chelsea High School, as the defensive coordinator (2015-2017) and Foyil High School, as the offensive coordinator and the head football coach (2011-2014). In Crane’s first season at Foyil , his offense averaged more than 40 points per game as he led the Panthers to a district A6 title and the Oklahoma Class A Quarterfinals.

Crane enters his 14th year of coaching with lots of valuable experience which includes stints as the defensive coordinator for Semi-Pro teams, the Oklahoma Knights and the Oklahoma Gunslingers.
